Ingredients

  • 1 15 bag tortilla chips
  • 1 15oz. package marinated carne asada beef skirt steak
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar & monterrey jack)
  • Guacamole, optional
  • Sour cream, optional
  • Sliced cherry tomatoes, optional
  • Diced red onion, optional
  • Chopped cilantro, optional

Instructions

To make the carne asada:

  • Cut your meat into small ½-1 inch pieces and set them aside. Then heat a large saute pan over high heat and spray it with nonstick cooking spray. Once it's hot, add your meat and cook for 5-6 minutes or until the meat reaches your desired doneness. (Make sure to stir it often.) Remove the meat from your pan and let it cool slightly before adding it to your nachos.

To make the nachos:

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degees.
  • Next spread your chips out on a rimmed sheet pan in a single layer. (Some overlapping is ok but not stacked.) Then top them with your shredded cheese and cooked carne asada. Place the pan in oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese has fully melted and the nachos are heated through.
  • Serve immediately with all of your favorite toppings!
