So let’s get to it – easy chocolate mousse cups, hear we come!

Ingredients

Three ingredients loves! That’s all you need to make these tasty little treats. (And my guess is you already have them in your kitchen too! 😉 )

  • Chocolate chips: Used for the outer coating. (Feel free to use your favorite type of chocolate; milk, semi-sweet or dark all work)
  • Nut butter: Adds protein and a ton of flavor to the filling! (I used chocolate hazelnut butter and peanut butter for mine but definitely use your favorite!)
  • Vanilla greek yogurt: Adds creaminess to the filling and makes it more like the consistency of mousse. (You can also use plain greek yogurt instead but it will make the filling a little more tart than sweet.)
Looking for a healthier treat? Try making these chocolate mousse cups! They're packed with protein and are so easy to make too!

What other kind of nut/seed butter can I use?

One of the things I love about this recipe is that it really can be made to fit anyone’s personal preferences! Don’t like peanut butter or chocolate hazelnut butter? No problem! Just switch them out with your favorite type of nut/seed butter instead! Here are just a few suggestions below.

  • Almond butter
  • Cashew butter
  • Sunflower seed butter
  • Flavored peanut butter/nut butter

There’s so many different options!

Chocolate chips, nut butter and greek yogurt are all you need to make these tasty cups! They're naturally gluten free and can easily be made dairy free too!

How do I make chocolate mousse cups?

Chocolate cups are some of my favorite treats to make because they’re so easy and take no time at all to whip up! Plus they’re bite size too which makes them perfect for when you want just a little something sweet. 🙂

  1. Line a mini muffin tin with liners. Mix your yogurt and nut butter of choice together in a bowl and place it in the fridge while you prepare the chocolate.
  2. Melt your chocolate chips in the microwave at 30 second intervals until the chocolate is smooth. (Stir in between each interval.)
  3. Spoon a small amount of chocolate into each liner and use a spoon to spread it all around the bottom and up the sides. (Make sure to fully coat the inside of the liner. It’s ok if the layer is a little thin.) Then add a small spoonful of your yogurt mixture into the center of each liner and completely cover it with your remaining chocolate.
  4. Place the cups in the fridge to harden until you’re ready to eat.

Storage: Place your cups in a sealed container and store them in the fridge. They should last for about 1- 1½ weeks.

These simple no bake treats are so rich and decadent, you'll never guess they're good for you too! Plus you can easily customize them to fit your dietary preferences too!

Variations:

  • Dairy Free: Substitute your favorite dairy free yogurt and use dairy free chocolate chips instead
